ATLANTA — Coca-Cola has closed a $31.3 million sale of about five acres of its Midtown corporate campus to the University System of Georgia, clearing the way for Georgia Tech to expand along North Avenue, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The parcel sits north of Coca-Cola’s main headquarters and within walking distance of Bobby Dodd Stadium at Hyundai Field. The buyer is the Board of Regents, which oversees the state’s public colleges and universities. Property records show the transaction closed July 15.
