June 25, 2026 — Atlanta’s data center boom has a water problem nobody wants to solve
An earlier version of this column said the Georgia EPD has approved 41 new high-volume water withdrawal permits for data-center operations since 2023. That figure was based on a partial review of the state’s online permit database and is being re-verified. The figure reflects applications received, not necessarily permits issued. We have requested the final approval documents from the EPD and will update the column when we have them. — Lena Bishop, Opinion Editor
June 22, 2026 — MARTA board approves long-delayed bus network redesign
An earlier version of this article said 38 of MARTA’s current 110 routes would be eliminated in the redesign. The correct figure is 37 routes eliminated and 18 routes restructured. The total route count after the redesign will be 73 routes, not 72. — Elena Vásquez
