Andruw Jones enters Baseball Hall of Fame as Braves Country fills Cooperstown

COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. — Andruw Jones entered the National Baseball Hall of Fame on Sunday, completing a steady climb from a low first-ballot vote total to baseball’s highest individual honor.

The former Atlanta Braves center fielder was inducted July 26 at the Clark Sports Center alongside Carlos Beltrán and Jeff Kent. Jones became the first native of Curaçao inducted into the Hall of Fame.

His election also added another Cooperstown name from the Braves teams that dominated their division through the 1990s and early 2000s. MLB identified Jones as the ninth Hall of Fame member from that Atlanta dynasty.
