The transit agency is rolling out its <strong>Better Breeze</strong> contactless fare system, and riders across metro Atlanta are already tapping their way through faregates with bank cards and smartphones.</p> <h2 id="how-it-works">How It Works</h2> <p>The concept is simple: instead of loading money onto a dedicated Breeze card, riders can <strong>tap a credit card, debit card, or mobile wallet</strong> — including <strong>Apple Pay and Google Pay</strong> — directly at faregates and bus fare readers. The system processes payment instantly and opens the gate, eliminating the need to visit a fare vending machine or manage a separate transit card balance.</p>
