Falcons open Flowery Branch to fans Monday as camp week continues

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — After a weekend that sold out Saturday’s open session, the Atlanta Falcons turn the calendar to another public look at AT&T Training Camp on Monday morning.

The club’s official training-camp page lists Monday, Aug. 3, at IBM Performance Field with a 9:15 a.m. start. Free tickets are required for admission. The same schedule shows additional open practices Tuesday at 1:55 p.m., Wednesday and Friday at 9:15 a.m., a Saturday Night Lights session Aug. 8 at Lanier High School, and more Flowery Branch dates the following week before joint practices with the Indianapolis Colts on Aug. 19–20 in Indianapolis.

FLOWERY BRANCH — Atlanta Falcons training camp has turned into an unexpected showcase for an undrafted rookie while the quarterback room works through injuries, roster churn, and a heavy personal loss on the coaching staff.

ESPN Falcons reporter Marc Raimondi’s continually updated camp file said Friday that Jack Strand, a 6-foot-4, 240-pound product of Division II Minnesota State–Moorhead, has taken the majority of 11-on-11 reps with Tua Tagovailoa (tight back) and Michael Penix Jr. (right knee) not fully cleared. On Friday, Strand was 7-of-8 passing in those team periods and completed his first six throws.

The Atlanta Falcons open 2026 training camp this week, with rookies reporting Tuesday and veterans Wednesday at the team’s IBM Performance Field in Flowery Branch. The first open practice runs Thursday, and The Athletic marked the occasion by naming quarterback Michael Penix Jr. the one Atlanta player whose season will define the franchise’s 2026 trajectory.

Penix, 25, enters his second full offseason as the presumptive starter after the Falcons traded Kirk Cousins in March and committed to the 2024 first-round pick as the long-term answer under center.
