ATLANTA — Georgia’s general-election Senate matchup now has a firm, televised date on the calendar.

Atlanta News First announced Wednesday that incumbent Sen. Jon Ossoff (D) and challenger U.S. Rep. Mike Collins (R) accepted invitations to an exclusive live debate on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026. The one-hour forum will be held at Assembly Atlanta, Gray Media’s studio production facility, and will air at 7 p.m. on Atlanta News First plus Gray television stations in every Georgia market.

The Atlanta Hawks have a new broadcast home — and for the first time in decades, every game that doesn’t air nationally will be free over the air for fans across the state.

Atlanta News First (WANF) and its parent company Gray Media announced a landmark partnership with the Hawks on Thursday that brings all non-nationally televised games during the 2026-27 NBA season to homes throughout north Georgia. The deal, which WANF GM Erik Schrader called “the most accessible broadcast television commitment for Hawks basketball,” extends to the Peachtree Sports Network and to Gray stations in Albany (WALB), Augusta (WRDW), Columbus (WTVM), Macon (WPGA) and Savannah (WTOC), putting Hawks games in front of viewers from the mountains to the coast.
