The 96th Major League Baseball All-Star Game returns to Atlanta for the first time since 2000. The American League and National League square off at Truist Park, with Fox broadcasting the game nationally. The Home Run Derby is Monday night.

The Forum Peachtree Corners, 5155 Peachtree Pkwy., Peachtree Corners. The free outdoor series returns with “E.T.” (PG). Bring a blanket or lawn chair.

High Street Atlanta Screenings on the Green — Thursday, 7 p.m.

101 High St., Atlanta. The outdoor movie series continues with “Legally Blonde” (PG-13). Lawn chairs and blankets recommended.

Looking for something to do this Independence Day weekend? Here are three events worth checking out:

Peachtree Road Race — Saturday, 7:30 a.m.

The 57th running of the world’s largest 10K returns Saturday morning with a record 60,000 registered runners. The race starts at Peachtree and Lenox roads and finishes at Piedmont Park. Spectators are welcome along the route. MARTA is offering extra rail service to the Lenox station.

Buckhead Village Summer Fridays series kicks off its 2026 run

Buckhead Village’s popular Summer Fridays series kicked off its 2026 run Thursday evening, with live music, drink specials and shopping filling Buckhead Avenue from late afternoon into the night.

The series, now in its sixth year, runs every Friday evening through July 31. Participating restaurants offer to-go cocktails and special menus, and shoppers can take advantage of extended evening hours at many of the neighborhood’s retail stores.

“Summer Fridays is the heartbeat of Buckhead in the warm months,” said Buckhead Village District executive director Shirley Howard. “It brings people out of their offices and into the neighborhood to enjoy everything Buckhead has to offer.”
