Downtown Atlanta adds another headliner to its already overloaded June calendar tonight: Shakira takes the stage at State Farm Arena for the Atlanta stop of her “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” World Tour — World Cup Edition.

The show is one of the most high-profile entertainment events to coincide with Atlanta’s run as a FIFA World Cup 2026 host city, layering a sold-out arena concert on top of a metro area already humming with international visitors, fan festivals, and tournament energy.

The tour

“Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” — Spanish for “Women No Longer Cry” — is the tour supporting Shakira’s album of the same name. The World Cup Edition leg threads stops through the tournament’s host cities in the United States, taking advantage of the massive international audience that has descended on American cities this summer.

Atlanta, with its deep Latin American community and its role as one of the most active World Cup venues, is a natural fit. The Colombian-born artist has a loyal following in the metro area, and demand for tickets has been strong since the tour dates were announced.

Getting to State Farm Arena

State Farm Arena sits at 1 State Farm Drive, directly adjacent to the CNN Center in the heart of downtown — putting it within walking distance of the World Cup’s secure perimeter around Mercedes-Benz Stadium and the FIFA Fan Festival at Centennial Olympic Park.

Concertgoers should plan for heavier-than-usual traffic and pedestrian congestion downtown. While there is no World Cup match at Mercedes-Benz Stadium tonight, the area remains busy with fan-zone activations, and the security perimeter is still in effect.

Transit is the recommended option. MARTA’s GWCC/CNN Center station on the Blue and Green lines is the closest rail stop to State Farm Arena. MARTA is maintaining five-minute headways on all rail lines as part of its World Cup enhanced service schedule, and the agency’s Better Breeze contactless fare system is active.

Rideshare drop-off and pickup zones are located on Marietta Street near the arena’s main entrance. Limited parking is available at nearby garages, but event-night pricing applies.

A stacked World Cup entertainment calendar

Shakira’s show is far from the only entertainment draw in Atlanta this weekend. The FIFA Fan Festival at Centennial Olympic Park continues to operate daily with live music, international food vendors, and match screenings on its large outdoor displays. Showcase Atlanta cultural activations are running in neighborhoods across the city.

The combination of World Cup events and touring acts has turned downtown Atlanta into something it rarely is: a seven-day-a-week, morning-to-midnight entertainment zone. Hotels in the downtown core, Midtown, and Buckhead have reported near-full occupancy for most of June, and restaurants have extended hours to serve the late-night crowds.
